THE ART OF INTELLIGENT MOVEMENT

 

110 Yoga was created to honor traditional vinyasa while also modernizing elements of the physical practice for today’s world.
We specialize in sequences built around alignment, core, functional poses and transitions. Our sequences are designed to be a complimentary modality for all other things our bodies do - walking, running, jumping, swimming, weight lifting, cycling, life, etc. We value strength and stability, not just flexibility, in all of our movements.

Why we do what we do -
75-85% of the population is functionally unstable and lacks core control and alignment. Most people face challenges connecting with their stability muscles which, in turn, makes it hard to maintain a functional body. At 110 Yoga we focus on engaging stabilizer muscles that promote proper movement patterns by recruiting the appropriate muscle groupings, such as your transverse abdominals, glutes and hamstrings. Stability leads to optimal body mechanics and will help eliminate the feeling of tightness to create a functional body you feel comfortable in.
